Two Albanian citizens declared internationally wanted, Dashnor Dumani and Armes (Artemis) Stafa, are extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Albania, thanks to close cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Abu Dhabi, within the framework of the international operation “The Wanted” .
Both individuals are suspected of involvement in serious criminal activities and have been placed under security measures with prison arrest by the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC).
Dashnor Dumani, the brother of Nuredin Dumani, considered one of the key figures in the criminal world – is under investigation for several serious criminal offenses, including premeditated murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of weapons, committed within the framework of a criminal organization.
According to the investigative file, in 2018, he is suspected of being the perpetrator of the massacre in the village of Bradashesh, where three people were killed: Endrit Alibej, Arben Dylgjeri and Turkish citizen Erdal Durunay. His name was also mentioned in the “Golden Bullet” trial, where Erion Alibej testified that he had identified Dumani as one of the assassins.
Also, in 2019, Dumani is suspected of having, in collaboration with Admir Nikaj (Murataj), participated in the burning of a vehicle used during a robbery at Rinas Airport. He also has a previous conviction from the Durrës Court for illegal possession of weapons, for which he still has 1 year and 4 months of prison left to serve.
Meanwhile, citizen Armes (Artemis) Stafa is accused of money laundering, an activity carried out according to the Prosecution in the function of a criminal organization. According to the investigations, he assisted the brothers Franc and Hajdar Çopja in the legalization of illegal income through various transactions, mainly the sale and purchase of vehicles.
The Criminal Court has sentenced him to “prison arrest” in absentia in 2023.
The capture and extradition of Dumani and Stafa was carried out by security authorities in Dubai, following an exchange of information with specialized structures of the State Police and international partners.
